see you in far off places

four days off lay ahead and i'll soon be leaving for szczyrk. four days of skiing (or i hope so since winter is finally giving up and perhaps the slopes may turn into streams or swamps ;) and socializing with family and family friends. and it's so much better than it sounds, really.

the new morrissey is out on myspace, so i'm just having my first listening session. i wish i could already load it onto my ipod and listen to it all the way to the mountains. it's far too early to say anything precise, but yes, i like it. i don't see favs, yet (but those need more listenings), but hope i will not need to compare it to you are the quarry all the time (since the sound is close).

adieu!

ts

yesterday with bogna we had our first serious project meeting. our fashion site concept, once so vague and cliche - since we practically intended to make it a polish version based on quality international examples - is getting more character and substance. bogna's bf apparently saw more potential in our wine-induced ideas than we did and contacted us with his business partner, daniel. daniel saw even more and so now we have two weeks to prepare a good brief. if we don't waste our time (or enthusiasm) we can win a good web designer for our site and god knows what else in the future. i'm scared a bit of all the bureaucratic stuff that may ensue once we make it commercial, but still, all into it.

...and i absolutely love you

i’ve nothing much to offer
there’s nothing much to take
i’m an absolute beginner
and i’m absolutely sane
as long as we’re together
the rest can go to hell
i absolutely love you
but we’re absolute beginners
with eyes completely open
but nervous all the same

our three years together. i love you, kju :*

floating in a most peculiar way

my boss agreed reluctantly on the three days off that together with the next weekend will give me four skiing days plus an extra just free one. i need that desperately. since weekends don't charge my batteries anymore and despite all the extra socializing and fun all days merge into one, i hope this will work.

i need changes: job, weather, activity, food. i did what i could to trigger those (well, apart form the weather part) but as always, would love to see the outcome immediately - hear that ad agency call me to sign a contract, dance and not just trip and slouch, quit muffins. and somehow i believe the change of season will bring all the good rest. so naive... ;)

dance dance dance

call me impressionable but a tv programme made me enroll in a dancing school for modern dance classes. i knew i needed to activate my body after this too long winter and yoga, gym and swimming were the alternatives. but with dancing, i've been trying to pick it up since i was ten and never really got consequent enough to make it last more than a year. now i really want to live it, sweat it and enjoy it, not just the idea. i'm starting next wednesday.

for a start

tired of my old blog, yet not sure what will this new incarnation look like. maybe more focus on photography or maybe again - just a place to vent my spleen and share excitement. but whatever it will be, hello and welcome!
